LITTLE FREE ROCK : TIME IS OF NO CONSEQUENCE (UK'69-'71)
English Heavy-Rock Monster
This group was a later version of Purple Haze who included ex-David John and The Mood guitarist Peter Illingworth. Their eponymous album (Transatlantic Records,1969) is basically heavy psychedelia with some Cream influences.Later on they changed their direction to become a phenomental afro-jungle-rock-band.The music lived from the outstanding Illingworth's guitar work, and on stage were no less than 25 percussion players sometimes.Serveral songs in this new style were recorded and fortunately these tapes were neither lost nor destroyed but unreleased to date.
Trax 1-9 were recorded in 1971 by a new 4-piece line-up (the trio augmented by "Lord" Eric Carboo on percussions).
Trax 10-14 are the demos that led the trio directly to the contract with Transatlantic in 1969.
