Mysterious Heavy-Psych Ultrararity

Jessie Harper is an enigma.Of the few facts known about him,even the genuineness of his name is uncertain.He arrived in England from his native New Zealand in 1969,and began supporting the legendary hard-psych band Andromeda at their live shows,backed by british musicians.At one stage he joined Andromeda as bass/second lead guitarist,only to disappear from the sceptered isle shortly afterwards.Sometimes in early '69 he entered a studio in Denmark Street,London,and recorded some demos.An acetate LP was also cut,on which the songs on this CD were present.The acetate was given to John Du Cann (of Andromeda and later Atomic Rooster) and adorned with a hand-made snake skin cover.In 1992 this acetate was sold to a japanese collector for the amount of 2500.00 pounds (!!!).
Jessie Harper has still not been located,but the 10 songs on this release are becoming established as classics of the Heavy-Psych era.
